Mongers and chefs around the world have taken the modest meat & cheese board and turned it into an art form. We are inspired by their work every single day and want to celebrate their imagination, artistry, and craft!  Introducing the Great American Board Off, where industry professionals across the country will compete to win the title of the nation’s top meat board artist. In addition to glory, the winner of the Grand Prize will get a whole leg of our Acorn Edition Prosciutto, and each Best In Show winner will receive a big box of our meats to share with their team or customers.

Contest Details

The contest will take place on the contest page of the Board Off website from May 3–5. Contestants have been asked to create a dazzling platter/board/table including at least 3 La Quercia Cured Meats (and anything else they want) and photograph it. Participants will upload photos to the site and fans will vote for their favorite. This is a great chance to support your favorite shop and show them how much you appreciate their skill!

Each entry will also be judged by a panel of cheese board superstars (check them out here) and Best In Show prizes will be awarded in three categories: ‘Wow Factor’ (Most Beautiful), ‘Left Field’ (Most Unexpected), and ‘Droolworthy’ (Most Appetizing).

Who Can Participate?

We invited businesses across the country that offer cheese plates, charcuterie boards, custom party platters, grazing tables and the like. Participants are a mix of cheese shops, caterers, and restaurants. See the participant list here.
